Spot Reduction for Stubborn Fat deposits
Aqualyx is a fat dissolving injection which contains deoxychlocate (a natural product found in the body), its sole purpose is to tackle stubborn fat. When injected into localised fat deposits such as saddle bags, thighs, stomach, chin and knees, Aqualyx® liquefies the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids that are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.
Aqualyx can be used in conjunction with an ultrasound device like 3D Lipo Cavitation to assist in the dissipation of Aqualyx throughout the localised fat cells.
This treatment is ideal if you wish to remove small fat deposits, it can virtually be used on any desired area, however the following areas are the most popular to be treated:
Lower buttocks (banana roll)
Back and bra folds
Upper arms (bingo wings)
Upper and lower belly
How does it work?
The active substance deoxychlocate causes the breakdown of fat cells and release of the fatty acids which are then eliminated by the body’s normal process. This process takes around six to eight weeks and therefore results cannot be expected before then.
Does it hurt?
There is just one puncture point per treatment, a very fine needle is used with local anaesthetic mixed into the solution to help ease discomfort. Patients may experience swelling, redness and possible bruising after the treatment. The discomfort or pain usually disappears in a few days. There is no downtime, so you can continue with your daily routine, however some bruising, swelling and redness may last for a few days.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required differ from one person to the next. Generally, two or four treatments are required, with intervals of six to eight weeks to obtain satisfactory and successful results. Best results are apparent after six to twelve weeks.
Is it safe?
Yes. Aqualyx has a European CE mark based on considerable research and is considered to be a very safe treatment.
