Dr Ahmed Raafat started his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1997 in a teaching hospital in Cairo Egypt. He started his career in the UK in 2003 and undertook training in London deanery. In the last 3 years of his training, besides general Obstetrics and Gynaecology training, he received advanced training in Minimal access surgery. He runs a colposcopy service in the NHS and is part of the Gynae-oncology team in his trust. He is currently the labour ward lead at his hospital, and provides Antenatal care services.
Mr Ahmed Raafat is keen on providing his patients with up to date information about their presenting problem and the options available for treatment. The patient will always be able to reach a fully informed decision about managing their condition.
He provides a range of services for women from fungal infections, pelvic pain and period problems through to more serious conditions like ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer.
